Tapestry FAQ
How do I hang a tapestry – even without drilling?
The easiest way to hang a tapestry without drilling is hot glue. Use only a little: a few dots in the corners and along the top edge, otherwise the polyester can warp. That way your wall hanging hangs perfectly. Alternatives are double-sided tape, Velcro strips or thumbtacks. For hooks or rods, choose «With grommets»: we add four metal grommets, one in each corner. Your wall decor stays flexible – much easier than a heavy wall rug.
How do I wash my tapestry and get wrinkles out?
The printed fabric is washable: cold or at max. 30 °C on a gentle or hand-wash cycle, with mild detergent, no fabric softener and no bleach. Don't tumble dry – hang it up to air-dry. Light creases from shipping often smooth out after the tapestry has hung for a few days. Otherwise, use a steamer from the back or an iron on the low polyester setting, inside out with a cloth in between.
What tapestry sizes are available?
Ready-made designs come in five landscape sizes: 150 × 100, 180 × 120, 210 × 140, 240 × 160 and 300 × 200 cm. At 300 × 200 cm, the tapestry becomes wall decor for an entire wall. For other dimensions, portrait or square formats, choose your custom tapestry to the centimetre, up to 10 m wide and 6 m high. A fine seam only appears if both width and height exceed 300 cm.
What material is the tapestry made of – and can I hang it outdoors?
Every design is printed on fabric using sublimation printing. Standard: 100 % polyester (soft fleece), 100 g/m², soft, lightweight and opaque – for kids' rooms, living spaces and everyday use. Premium: 100 % polyester, 250 g/m², drapes more calmly and shows richer colours – for living rooms and large walls. Fire-retardant B1: polyester, 230 g/m², low flammability. The base fabric meets B1 under DIN 4102-1, and we include the test report. You can hang all fabrics outdoors too, ideally in a sheltered spot. Sun and rain make the print fade over time.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery usually takes 15–20 business days including production, counted from receipt of your order or payment confirmation. Every tapestry is printed on fabric only after you order, so express delivery isn't possible. We ship to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the EU and the USA. The tapestry is shipped folded, so light creases are possible. Once it ships, you'll get an email with a tracking link.
Can I print my own photo on fabric?
Yes. With the custom tapestry, you upload your own photo, design or logo in the designer, for example as JPG, PNG, HEIC or PDF, position it and choose width and height to the centimetre. You can combine several images into a collage and add text. For a sharp print, upload the highest-resolution original you have; you are responsible for image quality.
